There is a financial advantage to doing procedures in an office setting. Insurance companies reimburse at a much higher rate for procedures performed in an office setting compared to a hospital or ambulatory surgery center. You will increase your efficiency and be able to see more patients by spending less time in an outside facility.
2. Is it hard to set up my facility to perform procedures under anesthesia and go through the process of accreditation?
PAGNY makes this as easy as possible. We supply all the equipment you'll need to provide a safe atmosphere to do procedures. This includes: defibrillator, monitors, suction, emergency drugs, anesthetic medications, and a fully stocked crash cart. We have experts who can help you through the accreditation process. They have been extremely successful in getting our clients accredited with the Joint Commission, AAAA, and AAAHC.
We use a wide array of techniques to suit your needs. We are experts at intravenous sedation, general anesthesia, and regional anesthesia. The type of anesthesia we use is dependent upon the level of certification of the facility and the choice agreed upon by the surgeon and the anesthesiologist.
The co founders, Edward Ament and Alan Kestenbaum, make a priority to work with all our clients. We have a small number of superior board certified anesthesiologists with excellent bed side manners who help us provide anesthesia services to our clients. If you have a request for a particular physician, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Not only is our mission to provide superior and safe anesthesia services, we strive to be as efficient as possible. We try to decrease turnover time and recovery room time by using short acting anesthetics, and aggressively treating post op nausea and vomiting. But most importantly we understand the importance of working with your staff in a respectful and collegial manner. By being a "team player" we will help your facility run more smoothly and efficiently.
Since we participate with most insurance companies, billing issues are rare. Our billing professionals are always available to answer questions during office hours. If any special circumstances arise with a particular patient, we will make every effort to remedy the situation. We are committed to preserving that special doctor-patient relationship that we know is vitally important.
